About Tenalock

"Serious synth guy" (a name someone else gave him) — "Polymax dude" (also not self-appointed) — synthwave, dance and chillwave artist and sound designer.

Probably 10,000 hours experimenting with synthesizers, audio, effects, mixing, mastering, sound design and music. Tracks placed with Sony and various other labels over the years, and a modestly successful dance/techno artist in the 90s, when releases still meant CDs and vinyl. Also a long-time collector of vintage synthesizers and effects.

If you just want to make music with sounds that speak to you, go for it — use your musical talent to get your music where you want it. But Tenalock is also genuinely keen to use decades of synth sound design experience to encourage people to learn synthesis by backwards-engineering these patches. In a world leaning harder on AI-generated everything, creativity matters more than ever — keeping that creative momentum going is the point.

Music-making goes back decades too: from dance and techno in the 90s to today's focus on synthwave and chillwave under the name Tenalock, with around 250,000 plays across platforms.
